Putting On A Wedding Why Do We Put Wedding Rings On The Left Hand?

Why do we put wedding rings on the left hand? - putting on a wedding

I hear it, because it takes a vein from the finger to the heart. Is this true or not depends on the culture and location?

I like the answer that I can remember ..

back a little during the day), where boys wore swords and other things ...

and most of them were boys of the right hand (the left hand the sign of the devil) ..

if your right sword .. and his wife was in the left ..

I think it has something to do with swords ... and Sheilds .. :) You're right

It is only my opinion, but.

There are many theories about why this finger came to symbolize marriage. Both the ancient Romans and Egyptians believed that a vein called - Keller amoris in Latin - ran directly from the finger to the heart.

In medieval England, a bridegroom to slip the ring in place, halfway through his fiancee thumb, forefinger and middle finger and said: "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit", as for any. Then he put the ring on her finger on - the third finger of his left hand. This practice was finally formalized in 1500 as the son of Henry VIII, the author of The Book of Common Prayer, the English modern Protestant wedding vows should go there and decrees of our wedding rings.

It depends on where you live. In Eastern Europe it is used in the right hand. These contribute effectively to the practice started with your wedding ring on his work by hand. Like most people with the right hand is now a tradition with the ring on his right hand.
